Goal

The Sash Company originally contacted Next Level Web in order to develop an effective PPC campaign at the start of their busy college graduation season in March 2012.

Their target market for PPC in this season is fraternities, sororities, and colleges looking to purchase sashes in bulk for their organizations. We needed to move quickly, because their busy season was upon us!

We conducted interviews with key staff, learned about what they did in the past that worked, and developed our initial keyword ideas. We conducted keyword research based on the information we learned, and developed an AdWords campaign. We launched our campaign earlier than normal (within 1 week) due to the fact that they were on a limited time clock to take advantage of their consumer’s favorable buying trends. We are pleased to say that we delivered on their needs, decreasing their CPA by 59.53% and increasing conversions by 2,025% over the previous year. Their click-to-conversion rate (How often a click on an ad results in a conversion) increased by 280.04%.

But the true results of this case study lay within the following year’s busy season.

The Sash Company needed an SEO strategy developed and implemented after the 2012 busy season. Next Level Web crafted a strategy based around white hat link-building and exact-match keyword links on their biggest producers from their PPC campaign. During the next busy season, traffic to their website from search traffic increased by 57.92%, and we achieved top-ranked position in their desired search terms. Because of the success of the organic SEO campaign, they elected not to do a PPC campaign, and their overall traffic increased on their website by 26.43%.

They saw an overall revenue increase of 17% over the previous busy season, and their PPC expenses from the previous season were also eliminated.
